Our new post for the blog is dedicated to David Muñoz! The young Spanish chef. This man has entered into the culinary world, not only nationally but also internationally.
Since he was little, he loved cooking. He has been in a good school since its beginnings, and he has worked with renowned personalities as the chef Andrés Madrigal.
A big turning point in the life of the chef was his departure to London. He was hired as a chef in Orrey. Learning every day about the culinary world. Pearl or Nobu have become part of its CV in London. But the dream of David, made him keep fighting to be the chef of his own restaurant.
His return to Madrid was triumphant. David opened together with his partner at that time Angela, Diverxo, a restaurant located in the district called Tetuan.
He obtained lots of awards that and he was recognized as a Chef.
But David was not satisfied yet, so at the end of 2012, he decided to open StreetXo. The world of gastronomy wanted to reward and give back another acknowledgment , so it was was in 2014 when he won his third Michelin star.
Let’s talk a little bit about DiverXo. In 2014 there was a great change for the restaurant, because it was moved to the hotel NH Eurobuliding, one of the best hotels chains in Spain. If you want to taste the 60€ menu, you have to reserve it 3 months before your date.
In 2015, he decided to move StreetXo to the magnificent terrace of El Corte Inglés of Serrano. Exclusivity and innovation are one of the most important keys. Rewarded After waiting for a row of 15 to 30 minutes you immerse yourself in particular “Asian street stall” where you can enjoy dishes of a marked style and personality where there is an explosion of flavors in each bite.
Its next opening will be in London because “the show must go on”.
